Nope never had any Buzz since i only used the inputs in Stereo for CD Players computer audio ect. it worked just fine for that.

same as you would with any mixer you put it into 1 and 2 Out means L and R to do stereo you need to pan hard Left and Hard Right and the Use of 2 faders for each Source you plan to use.

i'm not sure i got mine free from a family member mine still has the original factory belt all i did was Upgrade the Cartridge to an AT81CP and it sounds really good i'm sure if you look on Ebay or Facebook market Place you can find one for a good price.

no idea why that would be it could be not having discs in each slot all the slots must be filled to change through all the discs.

yes it can be used on a windows PC as well and or Linux Via USB.

you can use any USB Mixer with it but keep in mind that it only records in a single 2 Ch Stereo waveform you can't do multi tracking with this.

Wdym manually like by moving the tonearm yourself??

the way this turntable works it knows what size of the record is by sensors under the turntable when no light hit's the 2 holes it's 33 when it covers one hole it's a 45 7" disc when a record is transparent it won't play at all unless you cover the light to trick it it will play picture Discs and non transparent colored vinyl.

no idea i think the AT81CP can fit Any AT stylus of that cartridge body the only difference with the stylus is the cantilever is carbon Fiber on this cartridge.

its basically the same stylus At's numbering system was changed in the past few years

Do you use a preamp/compressor or external mixer for your microphones, or are they plugged directly into the MR8?

@@ChrisWilliams_CWMusic I just use an Sm58 straight into the Mr8. Light editing in the software.

you may want to check and see if the belt is lose and fell off over time the belt will lose it's elastic over time causing the belt to slip off there are replacement belt's for these turntables still.

LoL I had the XL-M509 and I tries to put in a 1989 Pioneer disc magazine in it.. They are too small to fit. sound like It's need a proprietary JVC disc magazine.

no this can't be used for that this is for Live sound Only not for DAW it only works a s 2 Track Means you are only recording one stereo track Like most mixers do you want a mixer to do that get a USB Model :)

@@DjAaronRaadio surely this has a stereo out that ofc sums all the ins and this stereo out could go into a stereo input on an audio interface such as a focusrite - so you can use this with a DAW?

@@GB3770 i use Audacity Mainly and since this is now an Old video i upgraded to a better Mixer with USB.

you have to record 4 tracks then do a 5/6 bounce down to add more tracks if anyone knows recording it's about like recording to tape but with a hard drive you must do a bounce before adding more tracks a stereo mix down is when you have all your tracks panned Left to right for mix down to WAV file Only then you can plug it in USB wise to the computer and export the master file from the Unit to any file format you want mp3 m4a ect. and about DAW there is no need with this unit since files are all in WAV Format only even the individual track files that the unit stores on it's hard drive.

@@DjAaronRaadio thanks for the fast reply. I know you have to bounce if you wanna add more tracks, but my question is if you are able to export individual .wav tracks to computer rather than a mixdown. For example, if you have guitar on track #1, drums on track #2, vocals track #3, etc, can I export these as seperate tracks or do they have to be mixed down as 1 master song file? I would like to be able to record different instruments onto the Fostex and then mix them individually later on a DAW (because mixing on the Fostex is a pain in the ass).

@@tomstegeman4344 actually you have to use the Fostex for everything all tracks are not saved until mixdown i think that's how the folder structure tree is laid out you have song 1 then the tracks and mixdown song 2 same thing and so on all tho if you were to work it in a DAW it won't sync up right from what i found out cuz what i use to do was use speakers during recording and you can hear the bleeding of the tracks and it's a big mess if you where to do it Digitally on the computer.

Tom Stegeman you can export the tracks to a computer. Google “Fostex WAV Manager”. The Mac version no longer works but I used the PC version about a month ago It works just fine.

With the pre amp I never did any mods to it I think it sounds fine with the stock preamp

yes you need an amp cuz this turntable does not have a built in Pre amp.

@@DjAaronRaadio I got one from a thrift store for $10 and started playing some of my records and I can hear a faint sound coming from it. Do you think it's working just fine?

@@TheSuperAldrich you more then Likely need a Pre Amp for it.

it's not noisy like some mixers i own it's actually good.

you can't really find replacement part's for these units not that i know of anyways.
